There are cases when people spend a lot on the strength and sturdiness of the sliding gates, but an improper gate makes it no worth. Swinging gates are the common choice for a sliding gates and normally we see installations of the same everywhere. However, there are a few inherent disadvantages or limitations of swinging gates and therefore, people are spending money on the sliding gates. Sliding gates are sleek, smart, strong and sturdy. They are easy and convenient as compared to their swinging counterparts. Installing a good quality sliding gate will ensure uninterrupted and undisturbed service for years.
There are five distinct qualities that make them the first choice for a sliding gates.
Space: The biggest disadvantage of a swinging door is the requirement of space. Although sliding gates is outside the house and generally there is no limitation of space, but nowadays there are many such instances when space is an issue. Swinging gate would fit on the hinges at one side and there is an almost 270 degree angle required for movement. In some cases it might be less, but certainly 180 degree is the minimum requirement. Sliding gates on the other hand, require very little space and just in a few inches you can get it installed.
Warping: Swinging gates get warped, especially when you put them on the sliding gates. They lose the smooth operation and get dragged on the ground. Accidental or intentional pressure from top to bottom may affect the smooth transition and it is a real pain to open or close the door. The situation becomes extremely irritating in the time of hurry. Sliding gates avoid all these problems and you get a smooth operation.
Security: Sliding doors are extremely secure because they are closely attached to the frame. In the swinging gates, there is a possibility of removing the gate from the hinges if it is not welded with the frame. In the older versions of swinging gates, there were only screws on the hinges and it was very much possible to remove the entire door by unscrewing them. Even in the new design it is possible to unscrew the entire panel.
